Located in the heart of Calistoga, Palisades Eatery (formerly Checkers) has been operating since 1987. Palisades is known for having the best Pizza in the Valley, Delicious pastas, great burgers, healthy salads, and a array of Americas favorite sandwiches.

Our story starts in 1987. Ron Goldin left Los Angeles to find a better life. Now sure where he wanted to live or what he wanted to do he stumbled upon Calistoga. “I felt like I had been transported to another time. A simpler time . I fell in love with Calistoga!” The big question was how to make a living in this small town? So I asked the locals what I could do to make a living. The answer was PIZZA – There was no place in Calistoga to get Pizza. That is how it all began!”
Although we changed our name and remodled our interior – out tradition of being a neighbhood restaurant and serving delicious food and great prices will always be our mission!
